Koa's a great little boy
So today Koa is still doing good. We took him off of the c-pap and put him on the nasal canula for almost a half hour. But he is still a little too small to be able to breath all on his own. He weighed 3 pounds and 8 ounces so he is still growing. He was at room air or 21% oxygen pretty much all day. He seems to be more alert to day looking around and smiling. Or looking concerned when someone opens the bed door to hold his hand or change his diaper. So pretty much Koa is just growing and being a great little boy. He even shoots a quick hello noise once and awhile.
We thank all of you for the prayers and support.
We thank god for today and for keeping Koa safe and improving today.
We love you all,
Koa Courtnie and Jeremiah

Seems like things are status quo. He is gaining and growing some. Getting used to breathing on own and getting used to his little voice in the world now. Way to go little Koa. what a fine young man. He is getting cuter by the minute and has his own personality. More alert and observant of his world now. Get ready for the demands he will want as he gets older and very much more aware of his surroundings and watching everyone hop to his needs. He will love to see the goings on. Love to all Aunt Lori and all. PS Uncle Mike says hello from Texas.
Amazing! That's a 6 ounce weight gain in just 3 days. Good for Koa! He's really making some progress now - better get that pantry stocked up cause he'll be raiding it before long. It was a good week for Koa, so I hope that the two of you can relax a little and take some time for yourselves. You need that - you have both done so well under some very stressful circumstances. That says so much for your parenting, but also for your relationship with each other. I have so much admiration for you both. Keep up the great job. You are all in our prayers every day. Jan
I have been watching your family from the first time I heard you were in Anchorage. You may not know me but I am Jennifer Arnone, my mother is Cathy Dreier. We are so happy for the three of you. Everything seems to be falling into place for such a beautiful child. He is a big fighter, and you two have given him so much love and support through this ordeal. I am so happy that you have god and all the family and friend support that you need. I will continue to watch your little fighter make each day a good one, and keep you all in my thoughts. God Has Blessed You All.
