Koa was hurting a little today but it got fixed quick

Today Koa was a lot fussy. Not cause he was mad or sad but because he was hurting. But I don't blame him I would hurt too if I had gone through what he went through. But the doctors upped his morphine and he settled down and went to sleep waking up every once and awhile to look around and see if Courtnie and I were still in the room. So tonight he was sleeping and woke up and smiled when I said hi to him so I think he is feeling a lot better. Loud people talking still sets him off. He weighed in at almost 5 pounds and 13 ounces I think that he may be retaining some water from having the surgery. Koa is still on the ventilator but has tried to take his own tube out a couple of times. So they tied his hands down. Other than that he is doing good.
We thank God for giving us Koa and all of our friends and family and for the doctors and nurses and for comforting Koa and guiding us and the doctors in his care.
Thanks again for all of the love, support and prayers.
We love all of you and thanks again.
Koa Courtnie and Jeremiah Bachert

It sounds like Koa is healing nicely and happy when mommy and daddy are there. In due time he will be off morphine and vent. Now it is time to heal and get back to gaining weight and growing. So many hurdles and he has come through it like a trooper. Love to our little KOa and his parents on doing an awesome job. Love you and miss youAunt Lori and all.
