Today was a little up and down.

This morning they decreased the Morphine a little. And he doesn't like that all. So all day he was very jumpy and mad. He had an x-ray and it showed more scar tissue. Which is caused by the ventilator. We talked to Doc tonight and he reassured us that he's more than likely gonna pull through this. He said he sees a lot of kids like Koa that come back in a couple years to see him. So it made Jeremiah and I very happy to hear that. Tonight the nurse and I gave Koa a little bath. He didn't like that at all, he was kicking and throwing his arms everywhere. I felt bad. But he REALLY need a bath. He smells a lot better. It was really like a sponge bath. But after that he went to sleep.
Thank you all for the prayers and support.
Thank you God for giving us Koa for another day.
Love
Koa, Courtnie and Jeremiah

Little Koa know's, he is just like his aunty Shelby-Ann. She doesn't like taking baths too. And little he know's, he will be sharing the same birthday with her. Little he know's, he got her fingers and toes. What a small world. Shelby-Ann has no idea. For she haven't got to see her nephew yet. Can't wait til the day she gets to see him. So my little Koa you keep up the good work and continue getting better. You have aunt can't wait to see you.

Lots of Love and Hugs

Koa keep up the good work in getting better. Shelby may not be able to see you now but I have a feeling she may be the only one with alot of time to take care of you later when everyone else is busy with boyfriends and school. And since you both share so much you will have a bond that no one else has. Keep up the healing and you fiestiness, you will ultimately win. And like everyone else said BOYS really HATE WATER and baths. So dark colors for your future waredrobe, so you don't see the dirt.
Love to all three of you, thinking of you every minute of the day

Courtney, Miah and Koa-

Baths are tough for the first little while but when Zack was about 6-7 months old he started LOVING baths... now all you have to do is say "Zack want a tubby?" and he goes shooting up stairs and trys to climb in the tub fully dressed. Just you two wait, you will have all sorts of storys to tell people in the next year, including all of the ones your getting right now.
I am glad to hear the doctor is being encouraging.. it is very hard on both you and Jeremiah I can imagine to watch what Koa has to go through, but in the end you three will be extremely close and this will all just be a memory that can't hurt you anymore.
Sending you lots of Love-

Niki, Dave and Zack

So glad the Dr. is giving you encouraging news. The first bath is always the hardest, he'll love it as time goes by and you won't get him out of the tub. It's amazing how feisty he is and lets you know when he doesn't like something - you're going to have your hands full keeping him in line. But he will always be the joy of your lives. Keep holding good thoughts and prayers, we are everyday. Love you lots GRTGRM & GRTGRP C.

He is already giving everyone a run for their money. Keep up the good work Koa. I always had to fight to get my guys in baths and now I can't keep them out of the shower-how things change. Keep them hopping. Love to all. Auntie Lori and family
